Recent Grangemore Projects

The following are just a small sample of the projects that Grangemore Plants and Landscapes have been involved in during the last couple of years. More information is to come but for now, here is an overview.




  • CURRAHEEN HOSPITAL CORK

    A state of the art new building to replace Marymount Hospice and St Patrick’s Hospital comprising 15,000 sq metres of interior space and extensive landscaped grounds and terraces. Grangemore Plants have supplied all of the plants including interior planting of 11 number 6 metre high Ficus ‘Amstel King’ and external planting including Liriodendron tulipifera 4 metre high, Sequoiadedron gigantum 3 metre high, Tilia tomentosa pleached and Aescules hippocastanum 4 metre high.
  • DUBLIN CITY COUNCIL

    Grangemore Plants have supplied amenity trees to Dublin City Council for street, park and open space planting over the past three planting seasons. The range of plant material has ranged from 60cm transplants to 45-50cm girth mature trees

  • GENZYME WATERFORD

    A major multinational pharmaceutical purpose built manufacturing facility set on 37 acres. Trees supplied by Grangemore Plants included interior planting of Ficus allii and Ficus benjamina 3-3.5 metre high and exterior planted areas including Arbutus unedo 20-25cm girth, Amelanchier lamarckii multistem 1.5 metre high and Azalea kaempfen multistem 1.5 metre high.
  • THE ELYSIAN CORK

    A major city centre residential development and Ireland’s tallest building. A small selection of the plant material for the stunning roof garden supplied by Grangemore Plants includes Cercidyphyllum japonicum 7 metre high, Cedrus atlantica Glauca pendula 4 metre high, Magnolia kobus 6 metre high and a large range of Acer multistem and feathered trees. This project won Grangemore our second international BALI award which was officially announced at BALI’s award ceremony in London on December 2011.



  • WATERSIDE, CITY WEST BUSINESS CAMPUS

    A world class business campus and office development situated alongside the M7 on the approaches to Dublin. Along with our own stock we travelled extensively throughout Germany, France, Italy and Belgium to individually source and select a range of multistem and specimen trees for this prestigious project which won Grangemore the British Association of Landscape Industries international landscaping award in 2010. Trees included the impressive Thuja occidentalis Smaragd and Prunus serrulata Kanzan multistem 4-5 Metre.
